What pisses me off the most about them is that his father is always crying poverty. He said he didn't have any money to contribute to the wedding, but I can't believe that when he spends hundreds of dollars on his Civil War crap and has so many dvds covering every inch of the house that half of them are still in the original shrinkwrap. We were talking about the movie Sky High, I picked up the dvd he had laying on the floor of it and wanted to put it on the shelf, when what do I see but a second copy of the same movie. So I say to him " you know you have two copies of this right" and he answers "yeah, I got a great deal on the second one" What a fucking idiot!!!!
The convention was amazing, we had so much fun. We mostly bought only autographs this time. I need to start a binder with them until we move into a place that has sufficient wall space to hang them all up. We trying to scrape together the money to get the tickets for next year to keep our seats.
We are also going to Jumpcon in Boston in July. I've never been to a Jumpcon event before and I'm trying to find out how it's different from Creation cons. But the big deal there is that Edward James Olmos is comming!!!! And possible Mary McDonell!!!!!!
I might be leaving my office job in the near future. Don and I have been talking about us switching positions, him getting another job and me being at the store. I would actualy love it! I could sleep later and the store is pretty quiet until mid afternoon, it would give me time to work more on jewelry and try to sell it online. (Bellanut.etsy.com)
I made a uniform from myself but I don't love how it looks on me. I think it makes me look very wide in the shoulders and it makes my arms look huge. But I'll probably wear it anyway.
Pictures later
you know what....nobody has noticed. Just like nobody noticed when I cut or later died my hair LOL
I'm taking some money out of my money market today for a very good and useful purpose...conventions!!! Don and I want to got o Jumpcon in Boston. One ticket of the highest level gets both of us good seats, photos, autographs, food, and HOTEL. Plus it will be in the summer so Michael can mind the store. And the rest of the money will be held for the Secaucus con which is only like 3 weeks away!!!!!! I realy need to finish my uniform though
Last night was nice. On the way home from work I stopped at Wegmans and bought 2 trays of sushi rolls and I also got some of their sushi grade tuna (so expensive but so yummy). I was going to get some chocolate covered strawberries but they cost $2 each there. So I got some strawberries and some chocolate and made them myself. (I dipped them half in white chocolate and half in dark chocolate)
We had a sushi set we got last Christmas that I finaly used. I arranged all the sushi on it realy pretty. While I was cutting up the tuna, there was some that was not as nice, so I gave it to the cats. They didn't touch it the spoiled little brats.
Well, Don came home and he did very well. We agreed to exchange gifts before the con, but the good boy still came home with flowers and a big teddy bear. When we sat down to eat, and Bellatirx was meowing and being a little pain in the butt so I pulled out another chair and she hopped up onto it, and just sat there while we were eating. The little brat just wanted to sit at the table!
We are going to a convention in three weeks. Before the last con, I made for Don three uniforms, the vest Picard wears in First Contact, the regular grey shoulder uniform, and a captain's white dress uniform. And I do think they came out pretty well for someone who never sewed before. I never got a chance to make myself any descent uniforms for that con and ended up wearing a trek tshirt. Well a few weeks ago I decided I was going to try to make for myself a uniform or two. We went to the fabric store on a rare day off together, but couldn't find the right fabric so I kind of gave up on the idea.
Well last night I was cleaning and I found this huge bag from the fabric store and inside was enough fabric to make myself the grey shoulder uniform and the dress uniform!!!! I don't realy remember buying it, but it must have been a while ago. So now I have three weeks to make myself two uniforms. Hopefully I can talk Don into closing the store a few extra nights this week so I actualy have time to make them. I know I'm going to need some new black pants though. The ones I wear to work won't work for the uniforms
We had a vendor bring us lunch today. YAY for free lunch. My bitch coworker always takes her lunch in some empty room by herself. But today when this vendor brought lunch, she walks over, picks up a sandwich, grabs her book and walks out and dissapears for half an hour. She doesn't say anything to anyone, doesn't say thank you to the vendor, NOTHING. After the vendor left we were all talking about how rude she was to him. She didn't even say thank you to the guy for buying lunch.
the only people that bitch about how Valentine's day is a corporate Hallmark holiday and all that other bullshit are single people.
There's also another Convention that we are getting tickets to. It's in Boston, and there are a lot of guests comming, Nichelle Nichols, Robert Picardo, Robert Beltran, Ronald Moore (Battlestar), Ellen Muth (Dead like Me) and about a dozen other people. It's looking to be pretty cheap too. For both of us, for premium seats, autographs and pictures from every guest, all meals, and even the hotel, the ticket will cost $750. Not bad at all. Especialy since that's probably what we paid for tickets alone for the March convnention
Speaking of the March convention, it's getting close!!!!!!!!! WOOOO!!!!!!

This woman at work is realy out to get me. I was just told about all the email she's been sending about me. This woman needs a life. Aparently she's been complaining that I don't take the orders off the fax machine quick enough.
